Every year on the first of May, famous and talented faces from fashion, film and music come together on the red carpet for the annual Met Gala in New York.

Known as the "party of the year", the Met Gala is an annual fundraiser in support of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York City.

As glamorous as it is, guests are always encouraged to dress according to theme, which for 2017 was based on Japanese designer Rei Kawakubu, the founder of fashion label Comme des Garçons.
