Our Creative Director, Colette Hayman talks us through her favourite holiday destinations, how she spends her holidays and her vacay essentials.

“I holiday at least once a year. It’s my way of escaping all the emails and day-to-day stress of running a business, so I select my destinations with rest in mind. I’ve just returned from a European summer vacay in Mykonos and Santorini which was beautiful! I also love the Amalfi coast and always try to back on a quick trip to London or Paris on the way home.”

Colette, what are your favourite things to do on holiday?

“I walk a lot on holiday, because if I’m not shopping I’m eating and I have to burn off the calories! I love to go to beautiful restaurants and indulge in the local cuisine wherever I am. Shopping is a must, I find so much inspiration looking through local shops and markets.”

When it comes to packing for your next holiday, Colette had a few tips to share.

I mostly pack dresses on my summer holidays so that I can fit lots of them in! I'm an over packer, I hate to run out of options. Then there’s my sunglasses which are a staple, they hide a multitude of sins after a fun party night and protect me from the suns rays!  My 2nd suitcase was filled with accessories, bags and shoes, this summer I took so many gorgeous Statement earrings, big and bold necklaces and a variety of my handbags to suit every occasion.”

Whether you’re off to the Mediterranean on a cruise or sipping some cocktails with your girlfriends in the French Riviera, we have your holiday style sorted.

 1. Always carry a mini tote

It’s the perfect beach-to-bar style essential, especially on vacay! Taking a classic monochrome tote with you overseas is one of the smartest decisions you’ll make when travelling overseas as they are so adaptable and go with almost any outfit.

3. Statement jewel is a must

Jewellery is the style update you need on holiday. When it comes to clothes, you might be repeating a few pieces from the limited choice in your suitcase. The beauty of jewellery is you can make your look different each time with a statement necklace or some oversized tassel earrings.
