Guest Blogger Alyce Greer tells us about her favourite trends

Our Guest Blogger Alyce Greer gives us an insight of her favourite trends for the season.

Let's see what they are....

There are some trends that don’t ask for attention; they’re quite happy being minimalist and neutral in their white wide-leg pants and beige-coloured trench coats. Then there are trends that love attention; they’re printed, embellished, bright, loud and unapologetic.

This season is filled with these confident trends – think leopard print, solid hardware, statement features, graphic textures and look-at-me tones. These pieces love being the centre of attention and luckily, work back perfectly with all those basics – and minimalist trends – filling your wardrobe.

Here’s two of my favourites.

Enter the Wilds

As the name suggests, Enter the Wilds is all about the animal print. Whether it’s an all-over printed tote, or a crossbody with just a touch, the print is the star of the show, supported with black and nude shades, graphic shapes, chunky chains and turnlocks and OTT tassels.

Keep these pieces as the focus of the outfit by paring back with model-off-duty jeans and white tee combos. Need something more elevated? Try matching with those white wide-leg pants and billowing beige-coloured trench coats we were talking about earlier.

Purple Rain

Thanks to being named the Pantone Colour of the Year, purple has made a huge comeback. In fact, we’re inviting every shade of purple into our wardrobe, from royal purple blazers to lavender pants. When it comes to bags, we’re using purple as a base to experiment with contrasting textures (like velvet, studs and sequins), graphic shapes and statement appliques to create pieces that work for both night and day.

The good news is that purple bags work with more looks than you might expect. Have fun and experiment by wearing with denim, animal print, stripes and spots for a look that looks super creative and highly styled.
