The 2017 Autumn/ Winter haute couture shows in Paris were more than just taffeta and gowns! From hammered metal bags to oversized necklaces, statement accessories were all the rage.
Here are our highlights.
The bigger, the better! Haute couture designers did not shy away from a statement necklace this year. From Jean Paul Gaultier to Giambattista Valli, big and bold necklaces is a key trend.
Hammered metal bags is now a thing! After the Valentino show, we predict the rest of the world is going to follow this trend. Sah vintage.
DAINTY METAL HEADBANDS
From Grecian crowns to dainty leaf headbands, headwear game is important as seen on Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad's fall couture showings.
FLORALS & FRILLS
One of the latest trends we're loving from Paris Haute Couture week is all the floral and frill detailed bags we are seeing. From mini floral top handle clutches to large frill totes, Ulyana Sergeenko and Hyun Mi Nielsen are changing the game.
The statement earring trend is still standing strong and we're so excited to see haute couture still on board. The Schiaparelli and Valentino shows both featured oversized drop statement earrings in their shows and we love every moment of it.
